(UPDATE) THE Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the National Police Commission (Napolcom) clarified that former director general Roger Castañeda Dy Jr. was not cleared from the administrative case filed against him in 2014 for his supposed failure to file a leave of absence that later resulted in his dismissal from the service.

Both DILG Undersecretary for Plans, Public Information Affairs and Communication Margarita Gutierrez and Napolcom Vice Chairman and Executive Officer Commissioner Alberto Bernardo said no order was made to award Dy his full back wages, allowances, bonuses and benefits accorded his rank from the time he was dismissed until the present.
