We all know how tall he is: 7'5 with shoes. The NBA has seen similar prospects, and most of the time, the teams that picked players of this height and lean frame got burned. The most successful NBA player over 7'2 is Yao Ming, the 2002 first overall draft pick of the Houston Rockets.
Yao, however, had a short NBA career riddled with injuries, and the Houston Rockets literally moved heaven and earth just to get the Chinese government to allow him play (even if they already drafted him) in the NBA. The Chinese government treats its citizens as their own property, and Yao was a pretty valuable commodity.
