BY the third quarter of this year, the much-touted largest canopy of trees created within a city will rise in Parañaque City. It will be the centerpiece of an enormous adjoining network of climate-protected sidewalks designed for long-term environmental sustainability as well as the well-being of the community residents, workers and other occupants. All these green spaces will be within a five-minute walking distance of the property being developed, Parqal, a 5-hectare mixed-use campus development that has a gross floor area of 78,000 square meters (sqm).
