DESPITE the high possibility of El Niño happening this year, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the northeast monsoon or habagat may still happen in the next few weeks.
The bureau has issued an El Niño Southern Oscillation alert, which signifies the possibility of El Niño from June to August lasting until the first quarter of 2024.
