Natl team needs longer prep – Jia

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia: The Philippine women's volleyball team's bid to end the country's 18-year medal drought ended in a tough 20-25, 25-22, 22-25, 23-25 loss to Indonesia in the battle for bronze match on Sunday, May 14 at the National Olympic Stadium.

Indonesia may have been the better team but the Filipinos made it a close fight, especially in the fourth set. That's where the Indonesians' chemistry came through as they held off the tough-fighting Philippine squad enroute to clinching the bronze.
