THE Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Wednesday that scattered heavy rain and thunderstorms being experienced daily are signs that the wet season is approaching.

In the meantime, Pagasa's weather specialist Obet Badrina said that it would generally be fair weather in large parts of the country although isolated rain showers and thunderstorms will occur that may last from one to two hours.
