THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) has turned down the demand of its partner, Impact Hub Philippines (IHP), in the staging of the "Pilipinas Debate" in the May 2022 national and local elections to settle its unpaid obligations amounting to P13.3 million.
Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia on Tuesday said there was still unfinished business that the commission needs to clarify in relation to the results of its internal investigation and considering the fact that public funds were involved in the controversy.
