IMO chief urges collaboration to promote gender equality

INTERNATIONAL Maritime Organization (IMO) Secretary-General Kitack Lim stressed the importance of collaboration and networking to achieve gender equality in the male-dominated maritime sector in time with the celebration of International Day for Women in Maritime.

IMO, the United Nations organization responsible for safety and security at sea, has declared May 18 International Day for Women in Maritime.
