PHNOM PENH, Cambodia: After seeing little action in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games, Philippine women's volleyball team captain Alyssa Valdez admitted that she would have wanted to contribute more on the court than her being a cheerleader for her teammates on the sidelines.

"Personally, I really wanted to contribute more to the team," said Valdez following the Philippines' 20-25, 25-22, 22-25, 23-25 loss to Indonesia in the battle for bronze match on Sunday, May 14, at the National Olympic Stadium.
