Single mom  breaks down barriers in Miss Universe PH

THE recently-concluded Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) was the talk of the town, not only for crowning Michelle Dee as the country's representative to the international pageant but also for welcoming moms — a first for the franchise — into the competition.

Parañaque's Clare Dacanay, Quezon City's Eileen Gonzales, and Benguet's Joemay Leo joined the competition when MUPH announced the change of rules, following its international counterpart's decision in 2022 to finally allow mothers and wives to compete.
