Choppy trading likely ahead of policy meet

THE stock market could struggle to make some headway this week ahead of a policy rate decision and with first quarter earnings season all but over, analysts said.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) closed 1.61 percent lower week on week last Friday as investors dumped stocks in the wake of a rebalancing of the MSCI Philippines Index.
