DO-IT-ALL guard Robert Bolick is headed to Japan's B.League, joining a growing number of Filipino basketball players who are playing in the Land of the Rising Sun as imports.

The 27-year-old Bolick's contract with NorthPort expired in April, giving him the opportunity to explore options to play elsewhere.

'He already signed with his new team in Japan. There will be an official announcement made soon,' a reliable source told The Manila Times on Friday, confirming Bolick's move to play overseas after spending his first three years as a pro with NorthPort.

The same source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said Bolick's monthly take-home pay in the new two-year deal is somewhere in the vicinity of $30,000 or approximately P1.67 million.

Bolick, NorthPort's third overall pick in the 2018 PBA Draft, averaged 21.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 6.14 assists in 36.3 minutes of play in the 2022-23 PBA Governors' Cup.

The 2022-23 season also saw the former San Beda Red Lion churn out two 30-plus point games and a career-high 44-point explosion in NorthPort's 101-95 win against Meralco in the Commissioner's Cup.
