Elcac to wipe out NPA 'within the year'

(UPDATE) THE National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-Elcac) has vowed to eradicate the remaining New People's Army (NPA) 'within the year.'

Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff Gen. Andres Centino made the pronouncement Wednesday, assuring that the military 'has sufficient forces to address these threats.'
