Teves' bid for political asylum in East Timor denied

TIMOR-Leste or East Timor has 'denied' Negros Oriental Rep. Arnolfo Teves' application for political asylum, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.

The DFA said it has received information from the Philippine Embassy in Timor-Leste that Teves 'is currently in Dili, where he submitted an application for political asylum.'
