Pagasa warns public as heat index hits 40 degrees Celsius

THE heat index from 35 to 40 degrees Celsius is expected to be felt across the country until Wednesday, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said, as it cautioned the public against its harmful effects.

In Metro Manila, the heat index is forecast to range from 39 to 43 degrees Celsius, it said.
