Govt execs absent in Senate sugar probe

SEN. Francis Tolentino on Monday expressed dismay at the absence of several Cabinet officials who were invited to shed light on the controversy regarding the importation of sugar in January 2023.

The senator, chairman of the Senate blue ribbon committee, led the inquiry on sugar shipments ahead of the issuance of Sugar Order (SO) 6.
