THE National Public Transport Coalition (NPTC) has called on Congress to investigate a foreign contractor over its alleged failure to complete a project that would have digitized the transactions of the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
Ariel Lim, NPTC president, said that after 14 extensions and two-and-a-half-year delay, the Dermalog Identification System has yet to complete the Land Transportation Management System (LTMS) that would digitize the LTO. This after 80 percent of the P3.4-billion contract has been paid by the government, Lim said.
