IN the wake of the digital revolution, cybersecurity has become a priority focus even more for organizations when it comes to delivering consistent, high-quality services. According to the Singapore Police Force, phishing was the nation's second-most reported scam type in the first half of 2022. Meanwhile, fraud-related attacks were the most common type of cybersecurity incident in Malaysia in 2022.

In conversation with The Manila Times, Arun Kumar, regional director for Southeast Asia, ManageEngine, said these numbers do not bode well for the year ahead. The situation may have reached a point where cybersecurity agendas could quickly become dated as they no longer reflect current tactics and technological developments.
