LOCAL government units (LGUs) are ready to address the possible effects of the El Niño phenomenon, League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) chairman Dakila Cua said on Friday.
"Just like before, our LGUs through our Disaster Risk Reduction Councils in provincial, municipal, city and barangay levels are well established and institutionalized," said Cua, who is also the governor of Quirino. "Calamity funds are also ready in case we will be needing it."
