PLDT: No emergency broadcast system for SIMs

PHILIPPINE Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) wireless affiliate Smart Communications said on Friday that it will not resort to using the emergency broadcast system for SIM registration purposes.

According to PLDT President and CEO Al Panlilio, they have various means of promoting the registration of their subscriber identification modules (SIM) during the extended 90-day period.
