WE look up to successful, wealthy and powerful businessmen because we believe them to be inspirational. Their stories make us feel that if we only work harder at our businesses, if we could just plan enough, we will succeed. As many business professors would say, "If you don't plan, you plan to fail."
However, entrepreneurship doesn't always work the way you plan. It's like managing a relationship: throwing time, money and effort don't guarantee reciprocity. In business, people don't show up. Key employees quit. Customers don't buy your products simply because you've launched. Licenses and approvals are difficult to procure. Funding dries up. A global pandemic like Covid-19 stops you from operating profitably.
