Press Corps' reorganization targets to improve police-media partnership

CAMP ROSAURO TODA, Ilagan, Isabela: The Isabela provincial police are gearing up to rekindle their partnership with the media as new officers were elected and immediately sworn into office on May 3 here. LtCol. Ernesto Nebalasca Jr., PNP-Isabela deputy police director for operations who represented Provincial Director Julio Go, said on Wednesday that the reorganization of the press corps was ordered by the regional headquarters, prompting the provincial office to have an invitation among media members for a revamp of the old set of officers. The tie-up with the media is a vital partnership, according to Nebalasca, as the police updates and issues are being amplified. With the media, law enforcers build the public trust and confidence, as the public has access to accurate information about the operations and activities of the Isabela provincial police. Nebalasca said the partnership between the media and police will provide more platforms for communication in disseminating accurate and timely information to the public.
