AS if to show that the Philippine communist insurgency still has a pulse despite the demise of many of its top leaders in the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) and the New People's Army (NPA), including party chairman Jose Maria Sison, Philippine militant groups staged a protest on Monday against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s state visit to the United States and his meeting with US President Joe Biden at the White House to discuss bilateral relations.
