Alternative fishing grounds identified for oil-spill affected fisherfolk

THE Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) have identified alternative fishing grounds for oil spill-affected fisherfolk in Oriental Mindoro.

Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin Abalos said on Thursday that a joint memorandum circular will later be issued on sharing of fishing grounds with the affected local government units.
