WHEN President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos (BBM) flew to Washington, D.C. on his current official visit, his fellow Ilocanos gave him a warm send-off by launching "Timpuyog Pilipinas," an all-Ilocano organization in support of national unity, hard work and mutual understanding. Kudos to Timpuyog.
But some congressional leaders, led by Senate President Juan Miguel "Migs" Zubiri, crossed party lines to urge BBM to bring "China's bullying" in the South China Sea to US President Joe Biden's attention.
