WASHINGTON, D.C.: Leading American nuclear energy firm NuScale Power Corp. expressed interest in investing in the Philippines after its officials met with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on the second day of his official working visit here.
Based in Oregon, NuScale said it plans to conduct a study to locate a site in the Philippines to develop a small nuclear power system that is "safe, modular and scalable."
