THIS year, 11,013 nursing graduates from the Philippines took the US licensure exams, which is double the figure last year, Quezon City Rep. Marvin Rillo said on Monday, citing newly released figures from the US National Council of State Boards of Nursing Inc. (USNCSBN).
"In the January to March quarter, we saw the highest number of Philippine-educated nurses taking the NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination) for the first time, without counting repeaters," said Rillo, vice chairman of the House Committee on Higher and Technical Education.
