Salceda seeks safeguards vs threats from AI

Rep. Jose 'Joey' Salceda urged the government to come up with 'strong, immediate and responsive' safeguards for local artists, such as site blocking capabilities for intellectual property authorities, against threats from artificial intelligence (AI).

The chairman of the House Committee on Ways and Means warned that failure to install safeguards 'could kill the Filipino multimedia sector.'
