WASHINGTON, D.C.: Militant groups staged Tuesday (Manila) protests to express their disapproval over President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s second visit to the United States.
US chapters of Bayan, Anakbayan, Gabriela, Kabataan, Malaya, and International Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines (ICHRP), as well as their non-Filipino supporters, picketed at Lafayette Park in front of the White House, with unified chants of "Marcos is not welcome in the US" and "never again to martial law," just as the Chief Executive's convoy made its way inside for the Philippine leader's meeting with President Joe Biden.
