Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Island has been showing signs of restiveness, emitting massive amount of gas in the past few days, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said on Monday.
The volcano emitted 1,099 tons of gas last April 30, 2023, compared to the 124 tons a day since March, Phivolcs director Teresito "Toto" Bacolcol told The Manila Times.
