Potus attends fundraiser in San Diego

IT was love at first bite for then-vice president Joe Biden, referring to lumpia, a Filipino delicacy with spring roll that is typically filled with ground pork and various vegetables, that he savored and reminded him of fond memories when it was typically served in the Obama White House by one of the longest-serving Filipino American White House chef, Cristeta Comerford.

Last month, when Emmanuel Lariosa Villamor, a Filipino American waiter at Porky's Lechon Barbecue Restaurant was tasked to serve lumpia with barbecue Wagyu beef and pineapple to the President of the United States during a fund-raising event in San Diego, Villamor was surprised when President Biden smiled, thanked him and said, "I missed it." The said event was hosted by Cavite, Philippines-born mogul who stepped up to the plate to ignite the re-election bid of President Biden, who announced his decision to run for re-election.
