PARIS: Deaths from hunger are on the rise in Africa because of droughts worsened by climate change and conflict, UN officials and nongovernmental organizations said Thursday (Friday in Manila).

Their warning is the latest in a series of statements from campaigners and experts warning that Africa is facing an unprecedented food crisis.
