P1.4B worth of smuggled cigarettes burned

ZAMBOANGA CITY: The Bureau of Customs destroyed tens of thousands of reams of smuggled cigarettes here on Friday, April 28.

The bureau said the contraband — seized in multiple anti-smuggling operations in the South — has a street value of P1.4 billion.
