DAMAGE to the environment caused by the oil spill in Oriental Mindoro may reach P7 billion, Environment Secretary Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga said on Wednesday.
In an interview with ANC's Headstart, Loyzaga said the amount was based on an initial calculation by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) of the damage to exposed areas including mangroves, seagrasses, coral reefs and fisheries.
