(UPDATE) A HOLD departure order has been issued against former Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) chief Gerald Bantag, the alleged mastermind in the killing of broadcaster Percival Mabasa, to prevent him from leaving the country.
Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla said Bantag and his co-accused, former BuCor jail officer Ricardo Zulueta, were still in the country and are being hunted by the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
