THE National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) recently released revised guidelines and procedures for joint venture (JV) agreements between the government and private entities.

The amendments, which took effect on Tuesday, April 25, were "designed to enhance competition for projects under joint ventures, enhance the performance of private sector participants, and strengthen checks and balances to ensure the technical and financial viability of government projects," Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Arsenio Balisacan said in statement on Wednesday.
