METRO Pacific Investment Corp.'s (MPIC) plan to quit the Philippine Stock Exchange came as no surprise to analysts but they said the price being offered to buy out minority shareholders was too low.
"The tender offer price represents a steep 54-percent discount to our net asset value for Metro Pacific and [a] 47-percent discount to our fair value estimate for the stock," April Tan, COL Financial research head, said.
