Sumilang Festival returns in Silang

SILANG, Cavite: As a tribute to local farmers of Silang town in Cavite, the local government has brought back the Sumilang Festival.

Under the theme 'New Farming, Towards a New Birth Full of Hope,' the Sumilang Festival opened on Monday, April 24, and will close on Sunday, April 30. The annual festival, which features the search for the most outstanding farmers and the best agricultural harvest in Silang, was shelved for the past three years because of the eruption of Taal Volcano in 2020 and the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021 and 2022.
