PH, other nations scramble to get citizens out of Sudan 'by road, air, sea'

THE Philippines said on Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila) that an initial 50 of its 700 Filipinos in war-torn Sudan were travelling on land to Egypt from Khartoun.

'We will do what we can,' said Foreign Affairs official Eduardo de Vega. 'It's very difficult.'
