THE Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP), through the Department of Labor and Employment-Government Internship Program (DoLE-GIP), recently oriented 19 promising young interns at the PCUP head office in Quezon City to better serve the urban poor sector in the Philippines.
Undersecretary Elpidio Jordan Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of PCUP, said it is important for young people to have the opportunity to serve the government even for a short period of time so that they can understand the importance of serving the country as well as to help them financially in support of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.s' vision for a more developed country.
