THE new chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), MGen. Benjamin Acorda Jr., on Monday vowed to continue the campaign to cleanse the force that was started by his predecessor.

Acorda, a member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class of 1991, took over from Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr. who has reached the mandatory retirement age of 56.
