Kawhi Leonard is one of the best NBA playoff performers of all time. This is no exaggeration. He can totally be the big difference whether a team wins a title or not. The Toronto Raptors GM Masai Ujiri knew that, that's why they traded for him even if he was an impending free agent. And the gamble for Kawhi won out. The Raptors won their first and still only title in 2019.
Almost half the teams in the league have yet to win a championship, most of which are older than the Toronto Raptors. The LA Clippers is one example. That's why they made an even more desperate move to get Kawhi Leonard. The Klaw, as Leonard has been called due to his enormous hands, already wanted to go back home to LA (being a Southern California native), but he wanted his own team.
