PH must keep up with AI

AN expert said the Philippines must keep up with the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in international trade and harmonize rules for its wider adoption in the country.

'AI has its own language, has its own rules which makes it interoperable with other countries. The problem is we have different rules in different countries. With this, we are left out because we are not fully integrated because we have rules like constitutional restrictions, and the like,' said TradeAdvisor Chief Executive Officer Anthony Amunategui Abad, also a World Trade Organization panelist in dispute settlement body, told The Manila Times at the sidelines of the forum by the British Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Makati on Thursday, April 20.
