Rina Albert-Llamas shares the evolution of her art

THE THOUGHT JUNKIE

If you grew up in the early 2000s, you may be familiar with the beautiful designs of Rina Albert-Llamas. Her wonderfully illustrated notecards and notebooks were front and center in Rustan's, National

Bookstore, Fully Booked, and malls all over the country. As a broke high school student, I spent a lot of my allowance purchasing her notebooks and spent countless hours writing in them. Just seeing that journal at the end of an emotionally charged day brought me comfort because I knew that once I opened them, I had a safe space to share my thoughts and emotions without the fear of being judged.
