QC heat index could hit 'dangerous' levels today

(UPDATE) THE heat index in Quezon City will likely reach 50 degrees Celsius today, Saturday, the highest since the start of summer, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Friday.

Pagasa said the 50 C will be the highest in its five-day heat index monitoring that began last April 21, based on the forecast of its Science Garden station in Quezon City.
