THE Department of National Defense (DND) Officer in Charge Carlito G. Galvez Jr. said he welcomes the expression of support from 21 mayors of Cagayan province for the implementation of the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) with the United States.
In a statement issued Friday, Galvez said he expects that more mayors will back EDCA, which allows the US military to stock equipment and supplies in nine designated Filipino bases. Two of the EDCA sites are in Cagayan.
