Reimagined Balintawak takes center stage in TernoCon exhibit

Balintawak, the more relaxed and casual iteration of the baro't saya took centerstage in TernoCon, the country's biennial terno-making convention and competition.

The Balintawak is said to be a favorite among the dwellers of countryside, as well as Manileñas who would go out of the capital to enjoy festivities, because of its less restricting structure. It's composed of butterfly sleeves, tapis, and alampay pinned to the shoulder or worn on the head as a head scarf.
