Volunteerism remains at the heart of Philippine Red Cross

IN the past 75 years, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has firmly established itself as the country's foremost humanitarian organization. What began in 1947 as a blood collection agency with 13 chapters has grown into a nationwide movement with 102 chapters helping millions of Filipinos in times of disasters, emergencies and armed conflict.
