RCEP tariffs, 'Social Protection Floor' OK'd

(UPDATE) TWO measures aimed at achieving 'deep social and economic change' have been approved by the National Economic and Development Authority board chaired by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

The board, which met in Malacañang on Thursday, green-lit an executive order (EO) operationalizing Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) tariff commitments along with recommendations for a 'Social Protection Floor' to ensure access to health care and social services.
