(UPDATE) MALACAÑANG on Wednesday confirmed the designation of Agriculture Senior Undersecretary Domingo Panganiban as officer in charge of the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA).'Yes, until a new administrator is appointed,' Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Garafil told reporters in a text message.The SRA is a government-owned and -controlled corporation (GOCC) attached to the Department of Agriculture, which is concurrently headed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.Panganiban will temporarily take over from David John Thaddeus Alba, who was appointed SRA chief last August.Alba's resignation took effect last April 15.
